While BadukClub continues to work on producing its high-end Ultimate Go Timer, we have finally managed to bring to market a basic timer suitable for general tournament play.

The primary benefit of this timer is the ease in which it works during a tournament! You turn the timer on, click one button, and it is ready for play. Then when it's time for the match to begin, players click the ⏯ button and the timer will start.

Want to reset the timer for the next round? Just turn it off and on again, and it's perfectly ready to go! This sort of clock will save tournament organizers a lot of trouble.

It's also easy to set before the event begins!

The timer has only 3 time settings (nice and simple)
Basic / Sudden Death - When you run out of Main time you lose.
Bonus / Fischer Time - You set a Main time and also an Increment (how much time is added per move)
Byo-yomi - This is the classic Japanese Go time, after your Main time you enter into Overtime periods (X periods of Y seconds each)

There is no silent mode, and the timer will beep for the last ten seconds of time. After you run out of time, it will display 0 and continuously beep (even if the timer is hit). This is important to prevent confusion - other timers we have seen in will actually continue to be usable by the players after they have lost on time.

Here is our instruction video for setting the timer: https://youtu.be/b7S2fgyE8Ik

On the bottom there is a off/low-volume/high-volume power switch, as well as 4 rubber padded feet, and the the speaker.

The clocks are a nice small size and lightweight. These attributes make them perfect for hauling to tournaments, as well as for setting on tables were having enough space is critical.

Each clock comes in a little blue protective box, with instructions in Chinese (sorry). It requires 2 AA batteries.
