#C293 - 6cm Table Board - Kaya - Hagi - Refurbished

This Japanese go board was shipped to Colorado for refurbishing. It has the unmistakable sweet scent of Kaya, and the engrain confirms this assessment with dense and wavy growth lines. It is 6cm thick and weighs 6kg.

This is a hagi board, made of 3 pieces of wood joined together. This type of construction helps prevent warping that may occur when a thin board is made of a single piece.

The board carries some marks from use, but is in excellent shape. The wood was sanded on 5 sides and treated with Monkey Butter. The raised lacquer grid was kept intact.
