#C294 - Size 36 Slate & Shell Set - XL Keyaki / Ash bowls

These gorgeous go bowls come with refurbished slate & clamshell go stones. 

The wood has a pleasant orange-brown tone with grain like Ash. They are XL size, please see the photos for measurements. They have been refurbished, scrubbed of their original finish and treated with Monkey Butter. 

The 180 white pieces are Mexican clamshell. They were soaked in hydrogen peroxide for a week before being rinsed with distilled water. They have a pure white patina, and a variety of grades.

The 181 black stones are slate, and are slightly larger than the white; this is usually preferred so that they appear the same size side-by-side. They were washed with soapy water and rinsed with distilled water, but have not been buffed with mineral oil as we leave this choice to you.
