#C328 - Shogi Set - Vintage Folding Board

Straight from Japan, this Shogi set is a nice vintage find.

The board is fairly thick, at 2cm, and has felt feet. It is a dark brown and has signs of use. It was refurbished in our Colorado workshop with a coat of Monkey Butter.

The pieces have heavy ink, laid in black. You can tell they were drawn by hand by the way some of the ink rises up on the larger pieces.

The photo does not show the proper starting positions, as I was in a hurry, but it does show a full set of 40 pieces plus an extra pawn.
