This lovely set includes refurbished Go Stones and refurbished Go Bowls.
The stones are size 34 slate & size 33 shell. The 180 white pieces are Mexican clamshell with a mix of grades but mostly Utility. They have been refurbished in our Colorado workshop: they were soaked in hydrogen peroxide for a week, washed with distilled water. The 181 slate stones are slightly larger (thicker and wider), and have been washed with distilled water - they have not been buffed with mineral oil, we leave that choice to you. It's preferred to have the black stones slightly larger than the white to account for black's slimming effect.
The stones come with an original box.
The bowls have nice grain, with some heather here and there. They are most likely Keyaki (Zelkova) or something similar like Cherry. They have been scrubbed of their original finish and treated with Monkey Butter. At XL size, they fit the stones without much room to spare.
