This awesome go set came to BadukClub from a game store in Hyogo, Japan.
The go bowls are extra large Chestnut. This is a common wood for go bowls as it is lightweight and easy to turn on a lathe. They are slightly darker than normal, which is a good sign that they may have been oiled previously.
The go stones are size 34 slate and shell (about 9.5mm thick). There is a full set of 181 black and 180 white.
Because this set is still in Japan, it has not been refurbished in our Colorado workshop so we can offer it at a discount.
