This board came to Baduk club from a private home in Mie, Japan.
The board has a lovely red-brown color, so it is likely Katsura. The corners and edges are in good shape, but it does have stray marks as a used board.
It is a 4-piece hagi board, where the wood has been joined together - this type of construction is quite common for a table board, to avoid the potential for warping that comes from making a thin board of a single piece.
This is a vintage item. Other small defects may exist.
