This set of go stones and go bowls was acquired from an art dealer in Kyoto.
The bowls are quince, sometimes called Indian Rosewood. They are in very good shape, with almost no wear on the underside.
The stones are slate and shell size 31, with 180 pieces of each color. The white stones are about 8.3mm, the black around 8.6mm. It is very common for the black stones to be thicker - if both colors are the same size, then the bright white pieces will appear larger.
