This board came to Baduk Club from Aichi prefecture.
The board is gorgeous. It has very clean corners and edges, but it also has amazing grain and a glossy look. Based on the appearance, it seems to be cedar or camphor, but could be kaya with some kind of danish-oil finish. It's an incredibly unique material to find a board made of.
It stands 20.5cm tall with the legs on.
The cut is a Tenchi-masa, one of the most preferred cross-cuts. This puts straight lines on the endgrains and across the playing surface and underside. On the sides, awesome cross-grains make interesting patterns.
