The bowls are made of the most beautiful wood I've handled. They have a bright red hue and great heathering/burl as well; Quince is sometimes called 'Indian Rosewood' and this is a great example of why it has that nickname. They measure about 14.4cm wide and 8.4cm tall.

There are 180 pieces of each color. The white stones are Mexican clams, with some variety in grade but mostly Moon-grade, and they measure 9.8-9.9mm. The white pieces were cleaned according to our Care Instructions including a soak in h2o2. Te black are slate that measure about 10.3-10.5mm thick. It is common for black stones to be slightly thicker than white so that they appear the same size side-by-side on the board.
