The wood was planned on all sides, divided with a band saw, and then sanded. Next, it was treated with food-grade Mineral Oil. Next, a laser was used to engrave a new 19x19 grid on the top and a 13x13 grid on the bottom. These grids are based on standard Japanese dimensions, with cells 22mm wide and 23.7mm tall. Finally, the board was treated with Monkey Butter and buffed clean. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a plain-sawn piece of wood. Due to a small chip in the center, the board was inverted (Kiomote) and that small imperfecriom.is visible in the 13x13 grid.
