They have been cleaned per our \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/store.baduk.club\/pages\/care\" title=\"Slate \u0026amp; Shell Care Instructions\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eCare Instructions\u003c\/a\u003e. The 180 white pieces are Moon-grade Mexican clamshell. They have a pure white look and have consistent lines. They were soaked in h2o2 for a week, then rinsed with distilled water. The 181 black stones are slate, slightly larger than the white to account for black's slimming effect. The slate stones were washed and then rinsed with distilled water, but they have not been buffed with mineral oil so we leave that option to you. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bowls are Kuri (chestnut), a lightweight brown wood with distinct grain. One of the lids is slightly larger than the other.
