#C314 - Size 32/33 Slate and Shell Go Stones (moon) and Go Bowls (keyaki) Set

This lovely set includes refurbished Go Bowls and refurbished slate and shell Go Stones.

The stones are size 33 slate & size 32 shell. They have been cleaned per our Care Instructions , including a weeklong bath for the white stones in hydrogen peroxide. The 180 white pieces are Mexican clamshell, and measure about 8.8mm with a strong trend towards moon-grade. The 181 slate stones are slightly wider and thicker, which is preferred to account for black's slimming effect, and they were washed and rinsed with distilled water.

The bowls look like Keyaki (zelkova) or something similar. They are delightfully light, and were refurbished in our Colorado workshop. This means we lightly sanded them to clear the original shellac finish and then treated them with our homemade Monkey Butter. At XL size they fit the stones snugly. Some old watermarks are present on the bowls, so this set is slightly discounted. Please see the photos for details.
