This lovely set includes refurbished slate and shell Go Stones and refurbished Go Bowls.
The stones are size 34 slate & shell. They have been cleaned per our Care Instructions. The 180 clamshells have been waxed and buffed - they measure 9.2-9.4mm, and vary in grade from Utility to Snow. The 181 slate stones are slightly thicker at 9.3-9.5mm, and have been washed with distilled water.
It's preferred to have the black stones slightly thicker than the white - if they are the same size, the bright white pieces will appear larger when side by side with the black.
The bowls have lovely thick lines and some swirly heather, with a pleasing brown-red tone. They are probably Mulberry or Cherry or something similar. At XL size they fit the stones snugly. They are 14cm wide and 7.8cm tall without lids (9.5cm tall with lids on).
