This miniature Japanese set is perfect for players 'on the go.' It comes with its original box.
This board is an older style that is no longer produced. Tenons on one side slot into the mortises on the other, creating a compact and portable set that still feels solid and substantial. The wood was carefully selected, both sides are from Quartersawn wood. The wood is fairly dense, and the end grain looks like Katsura.
The white and black pieces were not measured or counted.
The reverse side of the board has a shogi grid. A set of Shogi pieces is included.
