These boards are New, made in Denver in the fall of 2025. A homemade Goban arrived at the BadukClub workshop in poor condition, so the decision was made to cut it into pieces and give it new life. Many thanks to KagenSound for providing expertise and equipment!
Each board is approximately 8" x 8.5", with chamfered edges. A 9x9 grid is provided on the top, with a 7x7 grid on the bottom. The board you receive may vary from those in the photos, so please use the drop-down menu to select a finish type and quality:
Some boards were finished with Linseed Oil and given a week to cure, then polished with Monkey Wax. Other boards were finished with Mineral Oil and polished with Monkey Butter. Depending on your needs and your budget, you can select from these quality options:
- Excellent - free of significant defects
- Good - may have small defects
- Poor - may have large defects
