If you want to play Rated games, you need a way to keep the time.
Time settings are saved when the clock is turned off. Tournament Directors can also pause the clock to make changes to each individual players time if needed.
A low-battery indicator helps avoid issues by identifying power problems before a dead clock turns into a tournament dispute.
An easy-to-read English instruction manual makes it easy to set up and maintain the clock.
A large display makes it easy to read. Rubber feet prevent slipping, and the underside provides a quick setting guide. An ergonomic design makes it pleasing to handle.
The plunger motion is pleasing to hit at the end of your turn.
Controls for sound settings will help players know when their time is almost up, or players can keep the clock silent to preserve a quiet atmosphere (Voice-read for byo-yomi is the traditional Count-Up style, indicating the amount of the period elapsed).
Default time settings are provided for the following 8 modes (each of which can be adjusted):
- Standard Time (sudden death)
- Fischer Time (increment bonus)
- Bronstein (delay bonus)
- Accumulated Bonus (for chess)
- Canadian Byo-yomi
- Slow Byo-Yomi
- Rapid Byo-Yomi
- Count-up (no increment)
