We would recommend using these on plastic bowls and wicker bowls and other synthetic containers.
Wood bowls are not recommended for use with these straps, as the taut rubber could disturb a sensitive finish. Over time, UV rays will not evenly hit the wood surface, so the bowls can develop 'tan lines' (the opposite of a sunburn).
