This 14.2cm thick goban comes from an antique dealer in Nagoya City (Aichi Prefecture). It is from a slow-growing tree, which provides a great center-cut that shows off the tree rings. The wood is likely Matsu (pine) but may be Katsura because of the warm orange-brown color that matches the legs. Katsura is increasingly rare, as it is a depleted wood in Japan, so it may be something similar like Taiwanese Cypress.
Overall the board looks well-kept, no doubt due to the inclusion of a paulownia lid that covers the board. The edges have a few slight nicks, and the lid itself has some stains.
The 11cm legs are in good shape and bring the board up to a total of 26cm tall.

This board ships from Japan via Japan Post Surface shipping, which is already included in the purchase price - please note this will involve removing the legs and sending them separately. This shipping method is the least expensive, but it takes up to 3 months in transit and offers little room for padding. It is possible to upgrade to FedEx International Priority shipping to reduce the transit time to 5 business days and provide more padding - you can do that by adding the Express Airmail Upgrade to your cart (size Large). In either case, please allow a week for packing and preparations, then a tracking number will be provided that you can use to sign up for notifications.
