This thick goban set includes a Katsura board, cardstock lid, go bowls, and slate and shell stones. It came to Baduk Club from the private home of "CK" in Osaka. He says he purchased it new.
The go board was not measured. It looks 14cm thick, so it would stand about 27cm tall with legs on. CK states that it is Katsura, and the dark reddish/orange color of the board supports that claim, but it is hard to tell for sure that it isn't something else like Matsu (pine). The legs are a much lighter tone and are probably Shin-kaya (spruce).
The corners and edges are quite clean, so it is in excellent shape. It does not look like he regularly maintained it - my best guess is that it was treated with vegetable oil at the time of purchase. It needs a thorough scrubbing, followed by a paste wax coating to help it adjust (especially if your climate is less humid than Japan).
Visit our Care Instructions to learn more about caring for this board.
The orange-brown bowls have great lines, and are likely Keyaki (Zelkova), Mulberry, or Ash. Although they were not measured, they appear size XL based on their footprint on the board as well as their ability to hold the stones with some room to spare.
The stones are slate and shell, but were not measured or counted. Some appear to be Utility, while others are Moon grade. Based on the photos I would guess that the thickness is about 7.5mm-8.8mm, between size 25 and 32.
Unfortunately, more photos are not possible. However, we will discount the price accordingly, and we will work with you to complete the set of stones if there are not 180 of each color. Please contact us when the board arrives and you have a chance to count everything (ideally, send caliper measurements so that we can send the appropriate replacements).
This is a Vintage product.

Shipping Details:
FedEx International Priority shipping from Japan (to everywhere) is already included in the purchase price, a service that reduces the actual transit time to only 5 business days. This is half of the overall cost (about $250), but necessary to provide sufficient room for padding. The actual value for Customs Declarations and VAT will not include the shipping cost.
If you would like to downgrade to Japan Post Seamail to save on shipping cost, please contact us (it may take 2 parcels). This is not recommended, due to the additional potential for damage, but we leave it up to you. Before contacting us to request this, please check the Japan Post website to verify that your country allows Surface Parcels.
In either case, please allow 1 week for the board to be packed and to clear Customs, then a tracking number will be provided that you can use to sign up for notifications.
