This board came to Baduk club from an antique dealer in Kyoto, Japan.
The board is a lovely candy color typical of Kaya. It is a 5-piece hagi board, where the wood has been joined together - this type of construction is quite common for a table board, since making it from a single piece can lead to eventual warping. The board has a raised lacquer grid made with tachimori. Red resin streaks are visible on the underside.
