Plain beeswax can provide a useful coating. It is a natural lubricant to prevent squeaking where wood meets wood or metal meets metal. You can also use this as a wood filler to level a surface and to prevent air from reaching raw wood (consider using dyes to make the color match the wood, or select from our pre-dyed options below).
For old zippers or metal tools, Beeswax adds a protective layer to prevent rust. For wooden baduk equipment, it prevents dust, debris, and mold from reaching the wood itself.
The No-Color option is a natural, food-safe product that you can to coat any wooden items such as cutting boards and utensils. Other colors are not food-safe, as they include various wood finish products.
Each 0.75oz stick is fashioned in-house by Solomon from Local Rocky Mountain Beeswax (Defiance Bee & Honey, Colorado). A sous-vide method allows the wax to be melted without overheating, which can burn and discolor the wax.
