These medium-sized bowls come with Japanese hamaguri stones. These slow-growing clams have lines so dense that they are beyond the Snow grade of Mexican clams.
The bowls are a pleasant dark brown color. They were refurbished scrubbed clean with turpentine, then treated with a Monkey Wax polish. The bowls are little, and fit the stones snugly. A small chip exists on the rim of each bowl, so the price has been discounted. Please see the photos for measurements.
The 180 white stones are Japanese clams, with a wonderful variety in patina from age. The 180 black are glass.
This is a Vintage product. Because the bowls have aged, they have become slightly smaller; as a result, the lids do not fit as easily, so please remember not to force them into place as that could damage the bowls.
