This lovely set includes refurbished Go Bowls and refurbished slate and shell Go Stones.

The stones are size 31 slate & shell. They have been cleaned per our Care Instructions. The 180 clamshells have been waxed and buffed - they measure 8.3-8.5mm. They are a variety of grades, and tend strongly towards Moon and Snow. The 181 slate stones are slightly thicker at 8.4-8.6mm, and have been washed and rinsed with distilled water.

It's preferred to have the black stones slightly thicker than the white - if they are the same size, the bright white pieces will appear larger when side by side with the black.

The bowls are Keyaki (Zelkova) with a pleasing orange-brown tone. They have their original finish. They fit the stones comfortably. Please see photos for measurements.
