This set includes refurbished go bowls and very thick go stones.
The bowls are Keyaki (zelkova), a pleasant orange color with straight lines. They were refurbished in our Colorado workshop; the original shellac finish was cleared with scrubbing and turpentine, treated with Monkey Wax and given 2 weeks to cure. The bowls are XXL size, and fit the stones with room to spare.
There are a full set of stones, 180 white and 181 black. The white pieces are mostly Moon grade. They were cleaned according to our Care Instructions including a week-long soak in h2o2, a wash with distilled water, and buffing with iso-paraffin wax. The black pieces were washed, then rinsed with distilled water, but have not yet been buffed with mineral oil - we leave this choice to you.
Please see the photos for measurements. At 16cm wide, the bowls were just slightly too large for an accurate measurement with our calipers.
