This is a lovely go set, with high class go bowls and slate & clamshell go stones.
The wood is Quince, a red/brown tone. They are XL size, please see the photos for measurements. They were refurbished; scrubbed clean with quad-aught steel wool then treated with Monkey Butter.
The 180 white pieces are Mexican clamshell, and a bit thicker than 8mm. The bright white clamshells have a mix of Moon and Snow grades, please see the photos for details. They were soaked in h2o2 for a week before being rinsed with distilled water.
The 181 black stones are slate, and are slightly larger than the white (size 31) which is usually preferred to account for black's slimming effect. They were washed with soapy water and rinsed with distilled water.
