This Japanese go board was shipped to Colorado for refurbishing. It has the unmistakeable sweet scent of Kaya, and the engrain confirms this with dense and wavy growth lines.
This is a hagi board, made of 4 pieces of wood joined together. This type of construction helps prevent warping that may occur when a thin board is made of a single piece.
The board is gently used, and has some abrasions on the top surface. To refurbish it, the board was scrubbed with a plastic abrasive and mineral spirits, sanded on 5 sides (the raised lacquer grid was kept intact), then treated with our Monkey Butter.
It will be packed with foam corner protectors for shipping. Please wipe it clean with a cotton cloth.
Four rubber feet are included, they can be mounted with a Phillips screwdriver.
