Portable and compact, a folding board is a staple for most clubs and players 'on the go.'
This Japanese board was shipped to Colorado, but it was already in very good condition so it was not refurbished. It is old fashioned, as it has a raised-lacquer grid. These days most inexpensive boards have grids that are just ink.
Some care was taken in wood selection when this board was constructed, as the two sides seem to be of the same original piece of wood. It is likely Katsura.
