This lightweight wooden box helps protect valuable go bowls. The old design reduces exposure to moisture and light. While it is easy to open, it is a bit harder to remove the bowls. Its ribbon was old, so it has been replaced with a new blue one.
Paulownia is called the Princess Tree, and has great weather resistance due to its low moisture content. This box is held together without metal fasteners. It also has a high tolerance for heat and flame, but it can only insulate so much so please do not store your go equipment near heat sources or direct sunlight.
This is the ideal storage container for a set of L or XL go bowls, with 2 cells that are each 5.5in square and 4in tall. This one has a patina from age.
