This lovely set includes refurbished Go Bowls and refurbished go stones.
The 180 white pieces are Mexican clamshell, bright white with dense lines in a variety of grades but mostly Moon grade. They are size 31, 22mm wide and 8.4mm-8.7mm thick.
The 181 black stones are slate, and they are slightly larger to account for black's slimming effect. They are 22mm wide and 8.8mm-9mm thick.
The bowls are Sakura (Cherry), and their pale hue is very attractive. Cherry has good longevity, and is durable even at this delicate thin size, making it one of the preferred woods for go bowls. At XL size, they fit the stones comfortably.
