This Japanese board was shipped to Colorado for refurbishing. It was treated with Monkey Butter.
This board is an older style, as we can tell by the hinges. The wood was carefully selected, both sides from the same single piece of Quartersawn wood cut in half. The wood is fairly dense and dark, and the box indicates that it is Katsura. There are some incidental marks, but overall it is in very good condition.
