This wonderful set of go equipment was refurbished in our Colorado workshop.
The 180 white stones are size 28 Mexican clamshell (about 7.5mm thick). They have been cleaned per our Care Instructions: washed, soaked in h2o2 for a week, and rinsed with distilled water. As you can see from the photos, the pieces are a mix of grades but are mostly moon-grade.
The 181 black pieces are slate, slightly wider than the white to account for black's slimming effect. They were washed and rinsed with distilled water, but they have not been buffed with mineral oil as we leave that option to you.
The bowls are Kuri (chestnut), which features dark and light grain. They are size L and fit the stones snugly. They have been refurbished; they were scrubbed clean and treated with Monkey Butter. One bowl had a crack, this was filled with a paste made of wood glue and Kaya sawdust.
