This 9x9 set is everything you need to get started with the Game of Go. Straight from the Nihon-Kiin in Japan, the set it includes a vinyl board, 2 plastic containers with lids, ~35 pieces of each color, and instructions in English and Japanese.
The board is vinyl, about 2mm thick. It has a 9x9 grid with standard dimensions and the Nihon-Kiin logo at the bottom.
The stones are a lightweight plastic resin. They are the standard size at 22mm wide, and about 7mm thick. The black stones are slightly larger than the white to account for black's slimming effect.
The containers for the stones are plastic and rather cheap. They should probably be replaced with something sturdier.
The board comes with its original instruction manual in Japanese. For English speakers, we will also include a free copy of Karl Baker's "The Way To Go" (unless you let us know that you don't want one).
A zippered plastic bag completes the set for tidy storage.
