This set includes beautiful red bowls and a set of slate and shell with a creamy patina.
The go stones are size 32 slate & shell, about 9mm thick. They have been cleaned per our Care Instructions. As you can see from the photos, the 180 white pieces are Mexican clamshell with a variety of grades, but mostly Moon and Snow grade. They were soaked in h2o2 for a week, and rinsed with distilled water. The 181 black stones are slate, slightly larger than the white to account for black's slimming effect. They were washed and rinsed with distilled water, but they have not been buffed with mineral oil so we leave that option to you.
The bowls are Karin (quince), a dense variety known familiarly as 'Indian Rosewood.' The red color will shift over time through shades of orange and brown. The bowls arrived in excellent condition, so they have their original finish and have not been refurbished. A video is included that demonstrates their chatoyance.
A paperboard storage box is included. This box is original to the bowls.
