Portable and compact, a folding board is a staple for most clubs and players 'on the go.'
This board is 1.5cm thick. The wood was carefully selected Katsura, and is rift-sawn. Katsura is a soft wood so the sound of stones being played is muted.
This used to be a 19x19 board, but it was trimmed down due to damage. The original hinges have been replaced. The board was laser etched, sanded, then treated with Monkey Butter and buffed. Excess was can be removed by buffing with a clean cloth.
This is a vintage item that has been repurposed.
