This set was refurbished in our Colorado workshop. It includes beautiful brown bowls and a complete set of slate and shell stones.
The go stones are a full set of size 28 slate & shell, about 7.5 to 8mm thick. They have been cleaned per our Care Instructions. The 180 white pieces are Moon-grade Mexican clamshell. They have a pure white look and have consistent lines. They were soaked in h2o2 for a week, then rinsed with distilled water. The 181 black stones are slate, slightly larger than the white to account for black's slimming effect. The slate stones were washed and then rinsed with distilled water, but they have not been buffed with mineral oil so we leave that option to you.
The bowls are Kuri (chestnut), a lightweight brown wood with distinct grain. One of the lids is slightly larger than the other. They were scrubbed clean and buffed with Monkey Butter.
