This lovely set includes refurbished Go Stones and Go Bowls.
The stones are size 35/36 slate & shell. They have been cleaned per our Care Instructions. The 180 clamshells are size 35ish, a mix of grades (but mostly Utlity) and have been buffed with iso-paraffin wax. The 181 slate stones are slightly larger at size 36ish, and have been washed with distilled water.
It's preferred to have the black stones slightly larger than the white, and these are both wider and thicker. If they are the same size, the bright white pieces will appear larger when side by side with the black.
The bowls are a pleasing orange-brown color, probably Keyaki (zelkova) or similar. They catch the light very well. They have been scrubbed of their original finish and treated with Monkey Wax, then given 3 weeks to cure. At XL size they fit the stones comfortably. Please see the photos for measurements.
