This vintage go equipment came to Baduk Club from a resale shop in Okayama, Japan. It is over 50 years old and built to last. It folds in half for convenient storage (just 7cm thick), and the stones can be kept inside.
The board is steel and wood. It is 89cm tall and 85cm wide and features a handsome faux-wood design. It has a numbered grid from 1-19 in Arabic numerals on the top and Japanese numerals on the side. On the back we can see the previous owners dating back to 1972.
There is nearly a full set of magnetic stones, 180 white and 179 black. Over time the magnets may come loose from the plastic pieces, but can be reaffixed with superglue. A few of the pieces were marked with the owner's name.
