This board came to Baduk club from a pawn shop in Tokyo, Japan.
It has not been shipped to our Colorado workshop for refurbishing, so exact details are not known. The board is a lovely color typical of Kaya, like caramel candy. It has a raised lacquer grid.
It is a 6-piece hagi board, where the wood has been joined together - this type of construction is quite common for a table board, to avoid the potential for warping that comes from making a thin board of a single piece.
There are some scratches from use. Some discoloration on the underside should be cleaned easily with soapy water and a plastic abrasive or a clean cotton cloth.
This is a vintage item.
