This board came to Baduk club from a go & shogi shop in Osaka, Japan.
The board is a lovely candy color typical of Kaya, with nice features in grain from the red resin which is cured into the wood. It is a 3-piece hagi board, where the wood has been joined together - this type of construction is quite common for a table board, since making it from a single piece can lead to eventual warping.
It has a raised lacquer grid, and comes with a paulownia storage box.
