This go set came to Baduk club from an antique dealer in Osaka, Japan.
The bowls are Karin (quince), size XL, with their original finish in good shape. Karin is one of the premier woods for go bowls, with high density and great longevity. It will change color from red to orange to brown depending on its age.
The stones are slate and shell, size 32 (about 8.8mm). This is a full set, with 180 white and 181 black.
This is a vintage item. It has not been refurbished in our workshop, so we are able to offer it at a discount.
