This deluxe go set came to BadukClub from a reseller in Kanagawa, Japan.
The go bowls are size XL Sakura (cherry) with a clean finish. With its excellent longevity and a soft pink hue, this is a premier wood for good go bowls. They come with matching lids and they fit the stones comfortably. The bowls themselves feature beautiful grain, as the wood was carefully selected.
The go stones are size 36 slate and shell (about 10.1mm thick). There is a full set of 181 black and 180 white, plus 2 spares of each color. The white stones have consistent lines so they are likely Moon grade. The black stones are slightly thicker than the white, which is intentional to account for black's slimming effect.
A storage box for the bowls is included. This is Paulownia wood, made from the Princess Tree. It is lightweight and has great protective qualities. It closes with a decorative ribbon. It has a dark patina from age, but may need to be reglued after shipping.
