This deluxe go set came to BadukClub from a reseller in Osaka, Japan.
The go bowls are size XL Karin (quince) with their original finish. With its high density and excellent longevity, this is a premier wood for go bowls. They come with matching lids and they fit the stones comfortably. The bowls themselves feature beautiful grain, as the wood was carefully selected.
The bowls come with a Paulownia storage box. This lightweight wood of the Princess Tree helps protect valuable bowls by providing a clean storage place away from dust, light, and other hazards like insects or mildew.
The go stones are size 37 slate and shell (about 10.4mm thick). There is a full set of 181 black and 180 white. The white stones appear to be Moon or Snow grade. The black stones are slightly thicker than the white, which is intentional to account for black's slimming effect.
