This remarkable set came to Baduk Club from a Go & Shogi dealer in Osaka, Japan.
The bowls are Kokutan (striped ebony). The dark striations are gorgeous. The bowls fit the stones comfortably. They come with a protective paulownia storage box which needs a replacement ribbon.
The go stones are a full set of size 30 (8mm) slate and shell. The 181 white pieces are clamshell, the 181 black pieces are slate. The black stones are slightly wider than the white to account for black's slimming effect.
This is a Vintage product. It has not been refurbished in our Colorado workshop, we are able to offer it at a discounted price because small defects may exist. We suggest refurbishing this set according to our Care Instructions.
