This go set came to Baduk club from an antique shop in Yamaguchi, Japan.
The wood type is not known, it is probably shinkaya or something similar. It is a mellow yellow color, and stands 20cm tall on Katsura legs. The nice thing about a board of this thickness is that it can also serve as a table board if you remove the legs.
This is a vintage item. There are many incidental marks but the board will look much better if it is cleaned and waxed.
