This lovely set came to Baduk Club from an antique shop in Niigata, Japan. It is likely Chinese in origin.
The bowls are both made of stone, carefully carved with lids to match. Both bowls are marble - black marble & white marble. They make a beautiful pair. A thin layer of felt is a nice addition to the underside of the bowls.
The go stones are marble as well, standard width and thickness about size 36 (10mm).
The go stones were not counted, but the bowls seem quite full so we think it is a full set. Marble is a soft stone, so some of the pieces appear dusty - if you want to avoid this you can clean the stones and then use a cloth bag inside the bowl to act as a liner.
