This awesome go set came to BadukClub from a private home in Niigata, Japan.
The go bowls are extra large Sakura (cherry). This is a great wood for good go bowls, as it is midweight and sturdy. The bowls come with matching lids and they fit the stones comfortably.
The go stones are size 32 slate and shell (almost 9mm thick). The white stones have nice lines and are likely moon or snow grade. The black stones are slightly wider to account for black's slimming effect. There is a full set of 181 black and 180 white, plus a spare stone of each color.
Because this set is still in Japan, it has not been refurbished in our Colorado workshop. You can find cleanup instructions on our Care page.
