This lovely set includes refurbished Go Bowls and Go Stones. The set came from Japan, arrived at our Colorado workshop in good condition, and has only improved since then.
The 180 white pieces are Mexican clamshell. They have a mix of grades but tend strongly towards moon and snow. They were soaked in h2o2, washed, and rinsed with distilled water.
The 181 slate stones are slightly larger, to account for black's slimming effect. They were washed, and rinsed with distilled water.
The bowls are Sakura (Cherry), and their grain catches the light very well. Cherry has a high density and good longevity, making it one of the premium woods for go bowls. At XL size, they fit the ~10mm stones comfortably. They were cleaned of their original finish and treated with Monkey Butter.
