This thick set includes refurbished Go stones and refurbished Go bowls.
The 180 white pieces are Mexican clamshell, 7mm-7.2mm thick. There is a mix of grades, but most are moon-grade. They have been refurbished according to our Care Instructions, including a week-long soak in oxygenated water.
The 181 black pieces are Japanese slate, 7mm-7.3mm, slightly larger than the white stones to account for black's slimming effect. They were washed with soapy water and rinsed with distilled water. They have not been buffed with mineral oil, we leave that option to you.
The bowls have a dark look and straight lines. That is most likely Mulberry, but it could be something similar. At size XL, they fit the stones neatly.
This is a Vintage product.
